if you need that many words…

If you need a tooltip explaining the main navigational element on your site, you either don’t trust your users’ intelligence or didn’t do a very good job of designing it. Also, if you need that many words to explain it, you’re in even bigger trouble.

please set a location message, snooth

I searched for “yellow tail” from snooth’s homepage. It took me to results, but they were grayed-out, with a message about setting a location.

It’s an interesting attitude to getting a message noticed without loosing the context/appeal of the search results, but it’s also a little obnoxious, since it didn’t seem like it was absolutely crucial for me to set a location at that time.

The message is also a little too wordy.
